Publications
Publications are the lifeblood of the Society and the means by which we record and disseminate the story of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and keep members informed about Society events and much more.
Magazine
Our quarterly full colour Magazine not only has details of current happenings in the Society but has regular features on modelling the LYR, preservation news, and details about what’s happening today on former L&Y lines.
LYR Focus
The Society’s journal, LYR FOCUS, is generally published at least twice a year and contains a fascinating mix of articles on all aspects of the L&Y’s history. We are blessed with a number of exceptional authors producing high quality articles from original research.
Journal Index
This is the index of articles, drawings and track plans which have appeared in our journal over the years. Entries are listed alphabetically by article title followed by the issue number, page number and author. Towards the end of the document is a separate list of drawings and track plans listed in the same way. Note that our journal has appeared under several titles: Platform, Branchline and Flyer. The current title started with LYR FOCUS 60.
